Founder, Chief Creative Officer, Composer/Producer
YouTooCanWoo was born, believe it or not, all the way back in middle school, thanks to a piece of music inspired by a crush. Thank you, crush! The name itself became a kind of mantra; it served as a reminder to approach things from a place of positivity and abundance, rather than insecurity and fear.
David’s complete approach to audio embodies the YouTooCanWoo energy. He brings an understanding of sound at its foundation, plus(!) The Woo Factor, to all that he does, from musical composition to mix engineering and sound design. Building on a childhood passion of writing music and recording technology, David studied Music Theory and Composition at New York University. He kicked off his career by founding the musical group, French Horn Rebellion, with his brother, Robert. Not long after, he produced MGMT’s debut EP, Time to Pretend. Ever the go-getter, David further expanded his expertise to include work-to-picture—music, in collaboration with visuals—that serve to tell a story. His portfolio includes the audio branding of Peacock, Paramount+, MTV, Spotify, and ABC, commercial work for Apple, Google, and Nike, the Cinema Eye Honors-nominated score and sound design for an official SXSW Film Festival Selection, Mateo. Beyond this, he’s toured the world and writes, records, produces, and performs with musical groups inside his studio’s label of emerging artists.

Not only is she a strategy and operations wiz, but she's also a practicing visual artist. A team of talents, Lea has known Derek and Deidre all her life. As fate would have it, their grandparents lived across the street from each other and so began their collaborative journey.
Lea’s international experience compliments her role as Executive Producer. Since moving to New York, she has worked as a freelance producer and media consultant in a range of industries including the entertainment, gaming, film, tech, and non-profit sectors. Prior to joining YouTooCanWoo, Lea worked for Germany’s largest film and TV production company, Studio Hamburg, and was a Strategy Executive and Project Manager for the international entertainment giant, FremantleMedia, in London. Our globetrotter has an MA in Economics & Management from the University of Oxford and a DEA Economie Internationale from the Université de Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

A creative in every sense of the word, Deidre’s talents extend into design and YouTooCanWoo’s characteristic studio is all her. She’s married to Founder, David Perlick-Molinari; they have two children. We have a hunch they’ll carry on the family flair for the arts, and maybe even fun company names, too.
Deidre has over a decade of experience in live performance, songwriting, and scoring, with a focus on vocal work. Her musical groups, Savoir Adore and Violet Sands, and solo project, Deidre & the Dark, have brought her success in the music licensing world—woo-hoo! Her songs have appeared in TV shows like Rosewood, Pretty Little Liars, Claws, Being Mary Jane, Saving Hope, Gallery Girls, and Good Morning America, and in campaigns for Spotify, Topshop, New York & Company, Almay, Tide, Hershey’s and Kohl’s. Prior to joining YouTooCanWoo, she worked in music publishing for Shapiro, Bernstein & Co., Inc., who now represent her as a composer and songwriter as part of Reservoir. She holds a degree in Music Business from New York University and has toured the world extensively with her bands.

If you guessed brothers, you guessed right. Robert and David Perlick-Molinari are siblings and French Horn Rebellion is their band. The name pays tribute to Robert’s classical training in the instrument (and of course, his rebellious side).
Robert is the founder of electro-dance group, French Horn Rebellion and it’s this success as an artist, combined with the infrastructure of YouTooCanWoo’s state-of-the-art studio, that resulted in the creation of toucan sounds in 2019. In only a short time, the indie-disco and house label imprint has been dubbed a “label heavyweight” by Traxsource’s Editorial. In the last year, toucan sounds has released music for Yuksek, Jean Tonique, JD Samson, Louis La Roche, and Jacques Renault and worked on music for The Knocks, Purple Disco Machine, Francis & the Lights, Autograf, and more. An artist himself, Robert has amassed millions of streams across Spotify, Youtube, and Soundcloud, and appeared on iTunes digital charts in France, Japan, the UK, and the US. He has performed and collaborated with some of the most culturally influential artists in the world, including Beyonce, Sia, and MGMT. He hopes to continue YTCW’s growth through grassroots collaborations, bringing artists through the space, and making their dreams a reality.
